30. Are Crown and Rocksilk insulation products safe in
the event of a fire?
Knauf Insulation mineral fibre products are manufactured from
inert raw materials, such as sand for the Crown Range and rock for
the Rocksilk range. As a result, almost all unfaced Crown and
Rocksilk products are Euroclass A1 and non-combustible to BS 476 :
Part 4. The few specialised unfaced products that do not reach this
exacting standard, still meet the high standards of Class 1 Surface
Spread of Flame to BS 476 : Part 6 and Class 0 to Building
Regulations.
