The thermal conductivity of the Polyfoam ECO Floorboard range is 0.033 to 0.036W/mK

Description

Polyfoam ECO Floorboards are available in three grades - Standard, Extra and Super. Polyfoam ECO Floorboards are rigid extruded polystyrene (XPS) boards with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of less than 5 and Zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP). They are square edged boards that have high compressive strength.

Environmental

The Polyfoam ECO range of products has been independently assessed under the BRE’s Green Guide to Specification, Polyfoam ECO Floorboard Standard, Extra and Super achieve a certified Green Guide rating of A. Polyfoam ECO Floorboards represent no known threat to the environment and have zero Ozone Depletion Potential and a Global Warming Potential of less than five. Polyfoam ECO Floorboards are non bio-degradable and 100% recyclable.

Standards

Polyfoam ECO Floorboards are manufactured in accordance with BS EN 13164, EN 16001 Energy Management Systems, OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems, and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, as certified by Bureau Veritas.

Durability

The continuous service temperature limits of Polyfoam ECO Floorboards are up to +70º C.

Compressive strength

Polyfoam ECO Floorboards are highly resistant to compression and withstand both occasional and long term static loads. Load bearing construction elements should be designed to adequately support the combination of imposed and dead loads without creating excessive deflection.

Vapour resistivity

Polyfoam ECO Floorboard Standard and Extra - 625MNs/g.m
Polyfoam ECO Floorboard Super - 750MNs/g.m when tested in accordance with EN 12086.

Moisture absorption

Polyfoam ECO Floorboards have a moisture absorption of 0.6% by volume when tested in accordance with EN 12087.

Moisture resistance

Polyfoam ECO Floorboards are resistant to moisture absorption and can be laid in standing water or up against wet concrete with negligible impact on the performance of the product as determined by testing to EN 12087.

Handling and storage

Polyfoam ECO Floorboards are lightweight and easy to handle and install. Polyfoam ECO Floorboards are supplied in four sided packaging designed to be easily recognised and are labelled with identifying product and manufacturing data. Ensure the boards are not stored close to open flames or other ignition sources and avoid volatile organic compounds and chemicals such as solvents. Polyfoam ECO Floorboards should not be left exposed to prolonged sunlight as this will result in surface degradation. When outside storage for extended periods is required cover the products with opaque/light coloured sheeting.
