19 December 2011

UK developer
Balfour Beatty (BB) has announced it has been awarded the contract
for the £65 million Bath House in London, with the project to get
underway next year.
BB beat off competition from a number of rival bids for the
lucrative and prestigious contract, Construction Enquirer reports,
with the deal set to see the creation of a new eight-storey office
complex which has already received a potential BREEAM rating of
Excellent for its sustainability.
Set to be found at the Holborn Viaduct in central London, the
project will include a spectacular, undulating glass facade and
will deliver up to 210,000 sq ft of new grade A office space for
the capital once completed.
Elsewhere, a new agreement between the Homes and Communities Agency
and Sanctuary Group is set to see the delivery of hundreds of new
homes in the capital over the coming years as part of a new £105
million initiative.
