FMB signs 2012 Construction Commitments

The
Federation of Master Builders (FMB) has signed up to 2012
Construction Commitments to ensure construction industry delivers
high quality projects safely and on time.
President Ron Storer and director general Richard Diment signed up
to the statement of intent on standards and best practice.
The commitment covers the whole construction industry whether,
including companies which are not working on developing the Olympic
site.
Mr Diment said that the principles were close to the FMB's own and
that the organisation encouraged members to train its workers to
ensure a skilled workforce.
"We also encourage sustainability in the industry and are leading
the industry with our Building a Greener Britain campaign," he
added.
"The FMB recognises the benefits that the 2012 Construction
Commitments can have for our industry in constructing a safe,
sustainable, cutting edge, quality industry which will attract
employees and be dependable for clients to work with."
Established over 70 years ago, the FMB was set up to protect the
interests of small and medium-sized building firms and is the
largest trade association in the industry.
