Insulation and energy efficiency 'are important to homebuyers'
15 February 2012

Achieving excellent
levels of energy efficiency in the home is a positive selling point
for individuals looking to sell their property, it has been
claimed.
Graham Lock, director and co-founder of housenetwork.co.uk, said
the issue of efficiency is one of the most important criteria for
prospective buyers in the present marketplace, with Brits advised
to invest in insulation and other measures to boost the energy
performance of their property to make it more saleable.
He commented: "The more energy-efficient the better - as saving on
heating bills will be a major plus for buyers."
Mr Lock added that increasing energy efficiency is not only a great
selling point, but also offers significant benefits to the owner at
the time.
According to Daniel Green, chief executive officer at HomeSun,
tackling rising emissions in UK housing stock should be a priority
for the government, as this area is presently responsible for up to
20 per cent of all UK carbon output per annum.
Knauf Insulation provides sustainable insulation solutions for loft
insulation, cavity wall insulation and solid wall
insulation.
