Insulation advice handed out from trailer
02 October 2008

Tips
on getting access to grants for insulation will be part of the
energy advice handed out by a road show hoping to prepare residents
for the coming winter.
Fylde Low Waste and Energy (FLoWE) will travel around Fylde handing
out suggestions to help people get ready for the drawing in of
nights and growing cold.
As temperatures go down, the cost of heating bills rise and the
organisation recognises that the strain placed on peoples finances
by the credit crunch means that saving energy is increasingly
important.
Further pressure on household expenditures has been provided by
price rises by all of the big six gas and electricity providers –
which despite large profits were attributed to rising fuel costs on
the wholesale markets.
An information trailer with the FLoWE team will be offering advice
on energy efficiency and renewable energy in a bid to help
residents save money.
Andrew Loynd, FLoWE's project manager said: "People are starting to
really think about how they can reduce the amount of energy they
use. With even more grants and other funding coming from the
government and utility companies which are helping even more
people, now is the time to start saving energy and save
money!"
