Following a significant investment of resources, Knauf Insulation is celebrating a string of new business wins thanks to its Residential Business Development team.
Since the team was formed two years ago, they have devoted time to supporting specifications throughout the new build residential sector, delivering impressive results. This dedicated resource enables Knauf Insulation to concentrate more effectively on this industry sector on regional and national levels, with a specific focus on the top 25 house builders.
Collectively, the team of four holds more than 70 years of construction industry experience and are able to offer value engineered solutions to their customers that address both their short and long term needs. This effort has enabled the team to secure contracts to supply insulation to 14 of the top 25 UK house builders – four of which are in the top five positions.
Graham Boyd, Business Development Director at Knauf Insulation, commented: “The Residential Business Development team has really gone from strength to strength over the last couple of years, in what has been a particularly challenging market place. This has been down to a positive attitude, a great deal of hard work and above all the dedication to forge strong relationships with customers in order to deliver the most appropriate solution for them.
“In addition, the launch of innovative products such as Supafil® 34 has really supported the new business wins, as house builders can see the numerous practical benefits they offer onsite, as well as helping them meet the ever increasing thermal requirements of the Building Regulations.”
Supafil 34 is a high quality blown-in mineral wool with a thermal conductivity value of just 0.034W/mK. Offering an unrivalled combination of advanced thermal performance and on-site practicality, it is backed up by a rigorous testing process that ensures complete customer confidence.
Not only does Supafil 34 have the lowest thermal conductivity value of any blown-in mineral wool product in the UK1, it is also the UK’s first blown insulation product to meet the new Lambda 90/90 requirement of European Standard BS EN 14064:1:2010, which provides specifiers with greater assurance of long term thermal performance.
