Knauf Insulation Showed A Lot of Bottle At Ecobuild

Knauf Insulation, the UK's leading manufacturer of insulation
products, highlighted its market leading glass and mineral wool
products at ecobuild, with a fully interactive and educational
stand.
The main theme of Knauf Insulation's stand was be
sustainability, both in the manufacture of its products and their
application. Knauf Insulation's glasswool range is made from
recycled glass bottles and is completely recyclable at the end of
the building's life.
Mineral wool also has the advantage of being made from abundant,
natural raw materials, is safe to use and can save over 1500 times
the energy used in its manufacture during the life of the
building.
Knauf Insulation also launched a range of brand new products
which were on display for the first time, as well as its
established insulation products. The stand itself featured exciting
interactive elements to get visitors thinking about sustainability
and how insulation is the most cost effective method of improving
the energy efficiency of a building.
Lydia Sharples, head of communications for Knauf Insulation
commented: "We had a great time at this year's show – visitors to
the stand particularly enjoyed the bowling alley!"
"There is a serious side as well though. The Government's
climate change bill, which sets out targets for reducing carbon
emissions, and subsequently, initiatives such as the Code for
Sustainable Homes, should be at the top of everyone's agenda.
"The Code for Sustainable Homes is an all round measure of a
home's sustainability, not just its carbon emissions but right down
to the materials it is built with. Our stand will also promote the
message of each home achieving the highest rating possible under
the Code and how insulation plays a major role in this."
