NEW PLANT MANAGER APPOINTMENT FOR KNAUF INSULATION - 17.10.11
Knauf Insulation has appointed a new Plant Manager, Mark Lewis,
for its Queensferry manufacturing plant.
Mark will be responsible for all operational aspects of the rock
mineral wool manufacturing site at Queensferry, which includes the
product quality, health and safety, environmental standards and
despatch of insulation products. In addition, Mark will
oversee the work of the Engineering and Technical departments, that
focuses on continual plant improvements and stream lining
efficiencies.
With a degree in Engineering and Business Studies, Mark has been
in manufacturing and processing for over 25 years, having worked in
the automotive, cable making and aerospace industries. His
last post being UK Manufacturing Manager for Betafence Ltd, in
charge of all aspects of manufacture at two sites in Wigan and
Sheffield, where he worked over 15 years.
Mark explains: “I am excited about this challenge and working in
a new environment. The sophisticated manufacturing processes and
technology at the various plants around the country, and in
particular at Queensferry, impress me, as does the high level of
expertise I have witnessed at the company already.
“I am looking forward to being a part of this positive team and
having the opportunity to benchmark with other group company sites
that use the same manufacturing processes, in order to push
Queensferry forward.”
