Knauf Insulation has launched a multi-benefit insulation
solution for loft conversions and warm roof construction. Crown
Room-in-Roof Roll thermally and acoustically insulates pitched
roofs at rafter level, and boasts unbeatable A1 fire
performance.
Room-in-Roof Roll insulates between the rafters of pitched roofs
in both new build and existing buildings. The compression packaging
of Room-in-Roof Roll means less handling and it is friction fitted,
thereby completely filling the rafter space and eliminating air
gaps.
Quick and easy to install, Room-in-Roof Roll has an overlapping
foil facing that is wider than the insulation itself, enabling it
to be stapled to the rafters to create a vapour control layer.
Trials have indicated that Room-in-Roof roll is almost twice as
fast to install as rigid foam board. With a thermal conductivity of
0.032 or 0.037 W/mK, Room-in-Roof Roll ensures an excellent thermal
performance and greatly improves a building's Energy Performance
Certificate rating.
