Rock Mineral Wool
Rocksilk rock mineral wool has excellent thermal, acoustic and
fire insulation properties. It has the flexibility to be used in a
variety of unique applications ranging from traditional building
applications and fire doors to high yield horticultural
applications.
Rocksilk benefits from a relatively high melting point and can
be used to provide insulation in high temperature environments or
where fire insulation is needed. In addition, its potential density
gives it a high compressive strength that makes it ideal for use as
a semi-structural insulation material in walls, floors and roofs.
Rocksilk can be used to reduce heating costs and improve sound
insulation in HVAC applications; it can improve the operational
efficiency, safety and working environment in industrial facilities
and its fire resistance is a major advantage in the marine
industry.
Our ongoing research and development initiatives has resulted
in the development of Krimpact™ technology. Krimpact™ technology
improves the alignment of the mineral wool fibres during
manufacture to increase impact strength without dramatically
reducing thermal performance - making it ideal for use in your flat
roof, composite panel and external wall applications.
Furthermore, Krimpact™ gives you a consistent density slab.
That’s a big advantage. A consistent density gives better long-term
compressive strength, high impact resistance, better thermal
performance and a thinner, lighter product compared to other
high-strength insulation options.
