Description
Crown Acoustic Joist Roll is a flexible, unfaced, glass mineral
wool quilt which is lightweight, flexible, resilient and
non-combustible. The rolls are 1200mm wide and partially perforated
to produce 3 rolls 400mm wide or 2 rolls 600mm wide.
Application
Crown Acoustic Joist Roll is specifically designed for friction
fitting between joists at 400 or 600mm centres to improve the sound
insulation of timber joist floors. Crown Acoustic Joist Roll
provides a high level of acoustic absorption, as well as improving
the thermal and fire performance of the floor.
Standards
Crown Acoustic Joist Roll is a non-combustible inorganic glass
wool, defined as mineral wool in BS 3533: 1981 and is manufactured
in accordance with BSI Quality Assurance Standard BS EN ISO 9001:
2000.
Durability
Crown Acoustic Joist Roll is odourless, rot proof, non-hygroscopic,
does not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi,
mould or bacteria.
Vapour Resistivity
Crown Acoustic Joist Roll has a vapour resistivity of 7.00
MN.s.g.m.
Environmental
Crown Acoustic Joist Roll is free from CFCs, HCFCs and any
other material with ozone depletion potential in its manufacture
and content and represents no known threat to the
environment.
Crown Acoustic Joist
Roll’s manufacture has a low impact on the environment and is
classified as Zero ODP and Zero GWP.
Handling and Storage
Crown Acoustic Joist Roll is easy to handle and install, being
lightweight and easily cut to size. It is supplied enclosed in
polythene which is designed for short term protection only.
For longer term protection on site, the product should either
be stored indoors, or under cover and off the ground. Installation
instructions are on every pack.
Crown Acoustic Joist Roll should not be left permanently
exposed to the elements.
