Crown FrameTherm Roll

For the thermal and acoustic insulation of external and separating walls in timber frame and ‘warm roof’ construction.

Description

Crown FrameTherm Roll consists of a resilient, unfaced, non-combustible glass mineral wool quilt. Crown FrameTherm Roll 40 has a thermal conductivity of 0.040 W/mK. Crown FrameTherm Roll 35 has a thermal conductivity of 0.035 W/mK.

Application

Crown FrameTherm Roll is for the thermal insulation of external walls and warm roofs in timber frame construction. Crown FrameTherm Roll is friction fitted between studs and rafters and are 570mm wide to suit commonly used stud and rafter spacings.

Crown FrameTherm Roll can also be used for acoustic insulation in timber framed separating walls.

Standards

Crown FrameTherm Roll is a non-combustible inorganic glass wool, defined as mineral wool in BS 3533: 1981 and are manufactured in accordance with BSI Quality Assurance Standard BS EN ISO 9001: 2000

Vapour resistance and condensation

Crown FrameTherm Roll allows water vapour to pass freely through the insulation, therefore allowing the construction element to breathe.

Durability

Crown FrameTherm Roll is rot proof, does not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria. Crown FrameTherm Roll is odourless and non-hygroscopic.
