Description
Crown Universal Slabs are a range of semi-rigid to rigid,
non-combustible, unfaced glass mineral wool slabs. They can be
supplied with a bright class ‘O’ facing and in a range of densities
from 24 to 48 kg/m3.
Application
Crown Universal Slabs are general purpose slabs for thermal and
acoustic insulation. They are used in a wide range of
applications.
Standards
Crown Universal Slabs are a noncombustible inorganic glass wool,
defined as mineral wool in BS 3533: 1981 and are manufactured in
accordance with BSI Quality Assurance Standard BS EN ISO 9001:
2000.
Durability
Crown Universal Slabs are rot proof, do not sustain vermin and
will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria. Crown
Universal Slabs are odourless and non-hygroscopic.
Vapour resistance
Crown Universal Slabs offer virtually no vapour resistance,
allowing water vapour to pass freely through the slab.
Environmental
Crown Universal Slabs are free from CFCs, HCFCs and any other
material with ozone depletion potential in their manufacture and
content and represents no known threat to the environment.
Crown Universal Slab’s
manufacture has a low impact on the environment and is classified
as Zero ODP and Zero GWP.
