Application
Crown Yellowfil 40 cavity wall insulation is supplied fully
enclosed in polythene bales. Crown Yellowfil cavity wall insulation
is for injecting into new or existing masonry cavity walls to
improve their thermal performance.
Environmental Performance
Crown Yellowfil 40 Cavity Wall Insulation conserves energy and
therefore assists in reducing demand for fuels for the heating and
air-conditioning of buildings. As a result, they reduce the
emissions of the major greenhouse gas, CO2. The energy
and CO2 emissions saved by the products in use vastly
outweigh those generated in their manufacture.
They are free from HCFCs, CFCs and any other material with ozone
depletion potential in their manufacture and content. They
represent no known threat to our environment.
Crown glass mineral wool’s
manufacture has a low impact on the environment and is classified
as Zero ODP and Zero GWP.
Moisture Resistance
Tests by the British Board of Agrément confirm that Crown
Yellowfil 40 cavity wall insulation will not transmit water to the
inner leaf. Nor will it transmit moisture by capillary action
across the cavity or from below DPC level. This has been confirmed
by independent research conducted for the Energy Saving Trust,
which shows that full fill cavity wall insulation does not add to
the risk of water penetration.
Vapour Resistivity
Crown Yellowfil 40 offers negligible resistance to the passage
of water vapour and has a vapour resistivity of 7.00 MN.s/g.m.
Handling and Storage
The packaging of Knauf Insulation
Crown Yellowfil 40 Cavity Wall Insulation is designed for short
term protection only.
For longer term protection on site the products should either be
stored indoors, or under cover and off the ground.
