Description
Loft Roll 44 is an unfaced glass
mineral wool roll which is lightweight, flexible, resilient and
non-combustible. Loft Roll 44 is available in four
variants:
- Loft Roll 44 (Uncut) is uncut
and unperforated with a width of 1140mm.
- Loft Roll 44 (Ready-cut) is pre-cut
into either 2x570mm widths or 3x380mm widths.
- Loft Roll 44 (Combi-cut) is
perforated along its length at half and one third widths to allow
easy splitting on-site to the required width.
- Loft Roll 44 SL (Combi-cut) is the
same as Loft Roll 44 (Combi-cut) but has a shorter length to reduce
the weight of the roll for easier handling in certain
environments.
Standards
Loft Roll 44 is a non-combustible inorganic glass wool,
defined as mineral wool in
BS 3533 and is manufactured in
accordance with
BSI Quality Assurance
Standard
BS EN
ISO
9001: 2001.
Handling and Storage
Loft Roll 44 is supplied in polythene packs. The Product Data
tables show storage information for each thickness
Application
For the provision of thermal and acoustic insulation in new
build lofts and also loft conversions. Loft Roll 44 is available in
thicknesses to suit current Building Regulations and is 1140mm
wide, perforated or cut to suit both 400 and 600 roof joist
centres. It has the highest achievable fire classification of
A1.

Permanence
Loft Roll 44 is odourless, rot proof, non-hygroscopic, does not
sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or
bacteria.

Loft Roll 44 is free from CFCs, HCFCs and any other material
with ozone depletion potential in its manufacture and content and
represents no known threat to the environment.
Loft Roll 44’s manufacture
has a low impact on the environment and is classified as Zero ODP
and Zero GWP.
