Description
WM-640/660 are medium density, non-combustible rock mineral wool
mats. They are supplied with galvanised wire mesh on one side
which is stitched with galvanised steel wire. The mesh makes the
wired mat a firm, but flexible insulation mattress, capable of
withstanding high operating temperatures.
Application
For thermal and acoustic insulation of large process
equipment such as vessels and boilers. Wired mat is particularly
suitable for wrapping curved surfaces or cutting to fit over
irregular shapes.
Suitable for (but not limited to) insulation of:
- Large diameter pipework
- Vessels/columns
- Boilers/tanks
- Ducts
Acoustic
Wired mat can significantly reduce noise generated by liquid or
granular materials being carried through pipework or equipment at
high velocity.
Handling and Storage
The material is supplied in polyethylene packs which are
designed for short term protection only. For longer term protection
on site it is recommended to store the product either indoors, or
under cover and off the ground. It should not be left permenently
exposed to the elements.
Environmental
Wired mat is free from CFCs, HCFCs and any other material with
Ozone Depletion Potential in its manufacture and content, and
represents no known threat to the environment.
Wired mat's
manufacture has a low impact on the environment and is classified
as Zero ODP and has a GWP < 5.
All Knauf Insulation mineral wool can be re-cycled at the
end of its working life.

Classified as non-combustible to Euroclass A1

Maximum Service Temperature (MST)
WM-640 = 640°C
WM-660 = 660°C
