Polyfoam Pitched Roofboard
For the thermal insulation of warm pitched roofs
Description
Polyfoam Pitched Roofboard is a high performance, 100% ozone
friendly, extruded polystyrene, rigid insulation board.
Polyfoam Pitched Roofboard is supplied with interlocking rebated
edges.
Application
Polyfoam Pitched Roofboard is for the thermal insulation of warm
pitched roofs. Polyfoam Pitched Roofboard is fixed above the
rafters. The shiplap edge details do not have to meet directly on
top of rafters, making Polyfoam Pitched Roofboard very easy to
install and suitable for all rafter spacings.
Polyfoam Pitched Roofboard is often used in combination with
Polyfoam Raftersqueeze between the rafters to provide the required
level of thermal performance.
Standards
Polyfoam Pitched Roofboard is manufactured in accordance with
BSI Quality Assurance Standard BS EN ISO 9001: 2000.
Certification
Polyfoam Pitched Roofboard is certified by BBA Certificate
06/4386
Thermal Performance
Polyfoam Pitched Roofboard has a thermal conductivity of 0.029
W/mK.
- Structurally stable
- Rigid yet lightweight
- Easy to install – the shiplap rebates do not have to be
supported on rafters
Durability
The continuous service temperature limits of Polyfoam Pitched
Roofboard are -50 to +75º C.
Environmental
Polyfoam Pitched Roofboard is free from CFCs, HCFCs and any
other material with ozone depletion potential in its manufacture
and content and represents no known threat to the environment.
Polyfoam Pitched Roofboard is non bio-degradable.
Polyfoam Pitched Roofboard is 100% recyclable.
Compression resistance
The rigidity of Polyfoam Pitched Roofboard makes the board easy
to handle and less prone to site damage than less robust
materials.
Moisture absorption
Polyfoam Pitched Roofboard has a moisture absorption of 0.3% by
volume.
Moisture resistance
Polyfoam Pitched Roofboard is highly resistant to moisture
absorption and will perform as stated if exposed to condensation or
other moisture in use.
Vapour Resistivity
Polyfoam Pitched Roofboard has a vapour resistivity of 480
MNs/gm.
Handling and storage
The boards are easy to handle and nonirritant, no special
protective clothing is required when installing them.
Polyfoam Pitched Roofboard is supplied in polythene packs,
labelled with identifying product and manufacturing data.
Ensure the boards are not stored close to open flame or other
ignition source, also avoid volatile compounds and chemicals such
as solvents.
Polyfoam products should not be left exposed to prolonged
sunlight as this will result in surface degradation. Where outside
storage for extended periods is required cover with opaque/light
coloured sheeting.
