Description
DriTherm Cavity Slab is a semi-rigid slab of non-combustible
rock mineral wool with a water-repellent additive. It is
dimensioned to fit between wall-ties at standard spacings.
Application
DriTherm Cavity Slab is used for the thermal insulation of
masonry cavity external walls. It is 455mm wide to suit standard
horizontal wall tie spacings allowing a closed joint with adjacent
slabs.
DriTherm Cavity Slab is approved by the BBA for use in buildings
up to 12m high in any exposure zone and for use in multi-storey
applications up to 25m in height – see Certification.
Standards
DriTherm Cavity Slab is made from non-combustible, inorganic
rock mineral wool, defined as mineral wool in BS 3533: 1981 and is
manufactured in accordance with BSI Quality Assurance Standard BS
EN ISO 9001: 2000.
Certification
DriTherm Cavity Slab is certified by BBA Certificate 05/4207
which approves its use in buildings up to 12m in height in any
exposure zone, and in multi-storey applications up to 25m in
height.
Approval can be sought from Knauf Insulation and the BBA for
DriTherm Cavity Slabs installed in buildings over 25m high.
