ThermoShell - SILICONE RENDER

Description

A silicone resin render suitable for indoor or outdoor use with good water repellency and long term protection against driving rain.

Application

Cover and mask dirt sensitive elements such as glazing. Protect background from weather ensuring that the surface is dry and free from dirt and dust. Backgrounds should be treated first with ThermoShell (TS) - PRIMER S and allowed to dry before application.

Ensure that the same batch numbers are being used for areas of coloured render. Stir the bucket contents thoroughly before use. If necessary (to aid application) add up to 0.25 litres of clean water and re-stir.

Apply the TS-SILICONE RENDER to the thickness of the grain using a stainless steel trowel and texture using a plastic / stainless steel float. If required re-visit the surface after a few minutes and flatten in with a stainless steel trowel for a finer finish. Always work to a wet edge to avoid dry lines and protect from the weather.

TS-SILICONE RENDER should not be applied where the air / wall temperature is at or below +5ºC and falling. Do not apply TS-SILICONE RENDER where the surface is likely to be exposed to rain before the product has dried.

TS-SILICONE RENDER is formulated to inhibit the development of soiling / contamination (algae / fungal growth), however this is dependent upon local factors / prevailing site conditions and building design.

Wash all equipment and tools immediately after use.

All ThermoShell products should be installed by an approved ThermoShell installer.

Safety at work

Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear eye / face protection In case of contact with the eyes rinse immediately with clean water and seek medical advice.

TS-SILICONE RENDER possesses no contents that are ecological hazards and therefore represents no known threat to the environment.

Handling and Storage

TS-SILICONE RENDER is supplied in 25kg buckets and should be stored in its original container. Shelf life of 12 months, subject to cool frost free storage.
