Products
Crown Acoustic Joist Roll is a flexible,
resilient, roll of glass mineral wool.
Rocksilk Flexible Slab is a flexible stone mineral
wool slab designed for friction fitting.
Typical construction
Timber or metal joisted floor with 12.5mm plasterboard ceiling
and 100mm Crown Acoustic Joist Roll or 100mm Rocksilk Flexible Slab
between the joists. Floor deck to be timber or wood based board
with a minimum mass of 15 kg/m2, e.g. 22mm
chipboard.
Performance
Acoustic performance
The construction complies with internal floor type C in Approved
Document E2.
Fire performance
Crown Acoustic Joist Roll and Rocksilk Flexible Slab are
classified as Euroclass A1 to BS EN ISO 13501-1.
Density
- Crown Acoustic Joist Roll has a density of 10
kg/m3
- Rocksilk Flexible Slab has a density in excess of 10
kg/m3

Crown Acoustic Joist Roll*/Rocksilk Flexible Slab*, 100mm thick,
to be placed between the floor joists. (*Delete as appropriate) The
ceiling and floor deck to be as specified by the designer.
Alternatively, consult the National Building Specifications
(NBS) based on Standard Version P10/240. It contains a set of
proprietary clauses, which are edited versions written by Knauf
Insulation.

Acoustic Joist Roll with Rocksilk Flexible Slab. It has the benefit
of being supplied in slab format and may be easier to install than
