Housing Sector Guide
This guide
describes a range of insulation solutions that provide
housebuilders with effective building constructions for today’s
residential sector, including advice on the Code for Sustainable
Homes and Energy Performance Certification.
The majority of constructions have been widely used and proven
for use in houses, apartments and other residential dwellings. The
solutions in this guide are intended to provide designers and
housebuilders with simple compliance with current Part L1A Building
Regulations while a range of lower U-value solutions show the
options for the new generation of “zero carbon” dwellings. There is
also a brief summary of the thermal and acoustic requirements of
the Building Regulations.
