Does my fabric and heating specification have to change?

You might decide that for your project, it makes sense to change very little about your fabric and heating specifications. If that’s the case, there are other ways you can achieve compliance. For example, using a technology such as rooftop photovoltaic panels can help to increase energy-efficiency.

This approach may be particularly relevant if your development is happening within the transition period for Approved Document L (ADL), as it offers a potential route to compliance, without the need for large-scale redesigns.
