If you’re considering introducing new forms of heat source technology to your builds, one option is to continue with your usual fabric specification and introduce air source heat pumps.
This could be particularly relevant for larger sites, which begin after the Approved Document L (ADL) transition period ends in June 2023, as planning further ahead will allow more time for design work to account for the alternative technology. It also gives supply chains more of an opportunity to adapt and allows more time for products to become available in the required quantities.
