Upcoming changes to Building Regulations and Energy Performance Certificates mean insulation will need to deliver real in-use performance, meaning it will no longer be just be about what is installed, but how it’s installed. Insulation needs to be ‘buildable’ if it is to perform in reality as well as it does on paper.
Our products are engineered to minimise common installation issues so they perform in the real world and give real thermal performance.
Fire Safety is one of the most important considerations when building a new home. With Building Regulations for fire under constant review, and measures being taken to monitor and restrict the use of combustible insulation, the safest option for house builders is to use non-combustible insulation.
All of our Glass Mineral Wool and majority of our RMW are naturally non-combustible and have the best possible Euroclass A1 reaction to fire classification, meaning they will not contribute to the spread of flame in a fire.
Insulation is the first step towards designing an efficient home using a fabric first approach to minimise operational carbon. As the industry moves towards net zero, there will be increased focus on the environmental impact of insulation products, including embodied carbon considerations.
Our products are manufactured using recycled and naturally abundant materials, having low levels of embodied carbon, supported by Environmental Product Declarations across our whole range of housebuilding insulation solutions.
