Our Supafil Frame system has been shortlisted in two of the industry’s most coveted awards; the Building Awards and Structural Timber Awards.

The system has been nominated in the Product Innovation of the Year categories’, which recognise the best and brightest building products making an impact in the industry.

Supafil Frame, which was developed in conjunction with Stewart Milne Timber Systems, blows un-bonded glass mineral wool into manufactured panels using a specially adapted filling machine. The system has been designed to improve efficiencies in offsite construction.

Supafil Frame is the first of its kind in the UK offsite industry and has been shortlisted for three awards so far this year thanks to its precision, ease and speed of installation.

Asif Dar, technical support team manager at Knauf Insulation, said: “Offsite construction has been positioned as a key solution to delivering much needed new homes. As a result, there’s a huge growth in its use. We recognised the need for a system that would reduce the time needed to install insulation, improve thermal, acoustic and fire performance relative to existing materials and reduce waste.”

Knauf Insulation is also sponsoring the Private Housing Project of the Year category at the Structural Timber Awards alongside sister company Knauf. The winners for all Structural Timber Awards categories will be announced on 10 October, while the winners for the Building Awards will be released on 7 November.
